With high mass to help reduce airborne sound and closed cell foam to improve impact sound, this acoustic floor barrier is the ideal product to install in an existing property where you cannot upgrade the ceiling below. Only 15mm thick, it can meet and exceed Part E of the building regulations.
Karma Soundlay Highload 15 is designed primarily for timber floors (though it can be used on concrete floors), this composite acoustic floor barrier comprises a 10mm layer of Soundlay foam between two layers of WB7.5.
Soundlay acoustic foam is manufactured from EVA-rubber-injected, closed-cell polyolefin foam and provides a 46dB reduction in impact sound pressure. Twin layers of dense WB7.5 (often used in industrial applications) provide exceptional resistance to airborne noise.
The effectiveness of this acoustic floor barrier has seen it used frequently in hotels, where the reduction of noise transmission between floors is at a premium.
